TAKEALOT Photography Specification

Takealot enforces strict image requirements for all product listings to ensure high quality and prevent rejections. Images must be formatted as JPEG or PNG (without transparent backgrounds), with a minimum size of 600 x 600 pixels and a maximum of 5000 x 5000 pixels. 

Ensure your product images meet these exact specifications before uploading:

📸 Technical Specifications

• File Format: JPEG or PNG.

• File Size: Maximum of 10MB per image (though some bulk load configurations cap this at 2MB).

• Dimensions: Minimum 600 x 600 pixels, maximum 5000 x 5000 pixels on any side.

• Resolution: Minimum 72 DPI.

• Color Mode: sRGB. 

  
  

🖼️ Composition & Layout

• Background: The main image requires a solid, pure white background (no transparency allowed).

• Framing: The product must fill 85% to 95% of the image frame.

• Aspect Ratio: A square ratio (1:1) is highly recommended. Standard acceptable aspect ratios include (4:3), (3:2), (16:9), (5:3), and (5:4). Extreme ratios (like 8:1) will be rejected. 

⚠️ Additional Guidelines

• No Extras: Images must be free of text overlays, watermarks, or borders.

• Angles & Details: Showcase the item from multiple angles and include use-case perspectives. For boxed items, provide photos of both the intact packaging and the product outside of the box.

• Variants: Ensure you provide distinct photos for every color or variation option.
